Students take part in project

On June 13, female staff members and students at Life Skills Center of Columbus Southeast joined together for an “Explore Your Creativity” jewelry making party.

The students filed in to participate in a hands-on session, which allowed them to express themselves in a positive way, and promoted camaraderie.

Queens is a group that was created to give young women an opportunity to be directly influenced by positive role models in the building and from the community by way of our monthly meetings.

The female staff of the Life Skills Center of Columbus Southeast use fun activities to facilitate serious conversation and create teachable moments.

The Queens meeting has been a source of excitement for the entire building including the male students who want to know why they can’t participate.

Nevertheless, LSC Southeast has great expectations for what the future holds for Queens.

We hope that through their education and the empowerment that they receive through Queens that it will develop our young women so that they can be successful!!
